Hyundai Creta On-Road Price: Delhi vs Gurugram vs Noida
Published on 4 September 2026

The Hyundai Creta has the same ex-showroom price across Delhi-NCR, but its final on-road price can change depending on where it is registered. This is mainly because Delhi, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh follow different road-tax structures.
Among the three cities, Gurugram generally has the lowest registration cost for the Creta. The difference is relatively small for petrol variants but can cross ₹90,000 for an expensive diesel variant. Delhi is particularly costly for diesel cars because it applies a higher road-tax rate.
In this guide, we compare the estimated Hyundai Creta on-road prices in Delhi, Gurugram and Noida using selected variants from the current 2026 line-up.
Important: The prices below are estimates based on applicable road-tax rates and indicative insurance costs in September 2026. Your final dealer quotation may differ depending on the insurance policy, FASTag charges, accessories, extended warranty and current offers.

The Hyundai Creta currently starts at ₹10.91 lakh for the E Petrol manual. Its range includes naturally aspirated petrol, turbo-petrol and diesel engines, with manual, IVT, DCT and torque-converter automatic gearbox options.

Hyundai Creta On-Road Price Comparison
The following table compares estimated on-road prices after adding road tax, indicative insurance, TCS and basic registration-related charges. Optional accessories and extended warranty have not been included.
| Variant | Delhi | Gurugram | Noida | Lowest estimated price |
| Creta E Petrol MT | ₹12.66 lakh | ₹12.41 lakh | ₹12.73 lakh | Gurugram |
| Creta E Diesel MT | ₹14.83 lakh | ₹14.23 lakh | ₹14.60 lakh | Gurugram |
| Creta S(O) Petrol IVT | ₹18.11 lakh | ₹17.75 lakh | ₹18.22 lakh | Gurugram |
| Creta SX Premium Petrol MT | ₹18.89 lakh | ₹18.52 lakh | ₹19.01 lakh | Gurugram |
| Creta King Diesel AT | ₹23.32 lakh | ₹22.39 lakh | ₹22.99 lakh | Gurugram |
The estimates show a clear pattern. Gurugram is generally the least expensive city for registering a Creta, while Delhi becomes noticeably more expensive if you are buying a diesel variant.
Published city estimates can differ slightly from these calculations because online platforms and dealers may include optional accessories or use different insurance premiums.
Why Is the Creta Cheaper in Gurugram?
The difference comes mainly from road tax.
Delhi road tax
Delhi calculates private-car road tax according to the car’s value and fuel type.
For cars costing more than ₹10 lakh:
- Petrol: 10% of the vehicle cost
- Diesel: 12.5% of the vehicle cost
Delhi applies a 25% addition to the corresponding tax rate for diesel-powered vehicles. A one-time municipal parking charge may also be collected during registration.
Since every Creta variant is priced above ₹10 lakh, petrol variants fall into the 10% bracket and diesel variants into the 12.5% bracket.
Gurugram and Haryana road tax
Haryana has a simpler structure for private cars:
- Up to ₹6 lakh: 5%
- Above ₹6 lakh and up to ₹20 lakh: 8%
- Above ₹20 lakh: 10%
All the Creta variants covered here have an ex-showroom price below ₹20 lakh. They consequently attract road tax of approximately 8%, whether they use petrol or diesel.
This is why the saving is particularly large on diesel variants. A Creta King Diesel AT priced at ₹19.78 lakh attracts approximately ₹1.58 lakh in Haryana road tax, compared with about ₹2.47 lakh in Delhi.
Noida and Uttar Pradesh road tax
For new private cars, Uttar Pradesh generally charges:
- Up to ₹10 lakh: 8%
- Above ₹10 lakh: 11%
As the Creta starts above ₹10 lakh, its variants generally attract road tax of around 11% in Noida. An additional charge of approximately ₹1,500 may also apply in cities such as Noida and Ghaziabad.
UP does not apply a separate higher percentage to diesel cars under these slabs. Therefore, Noida is usually cheaper than Delhi for a diesel Creta but more expensive than Gurugram.
How Much Can You Save by Registering in Gurugram?
The saving depends on the fuel type and ex-showroom price.
Creta petrol variants
For petrol versions, the road-tax difference between Delhi and Gurugram is about two percentage points. The saving increases as you move up the range.
Based on our estimates:
- Creta E Petrol: around ₹25,000
- Creta S(O) IVT: around ₹35,000
- Creta SX Premium: around ₹37,000
Creta diesel variants
The difference is much more substantial for diesel variants because Delhi charges 12.5%, compared with 8% in Haryana and 11% in Uttar Pradesh.
Estimated differences include:
- Creta E Diesel: Gurugram is around ₹60,000 cheaper than Delhi
- Creta King Diesel AT: Gurugram is around ₹93,000 cheaper than Delhi
- Creta King Diesel AT: Noida is around ₹33,000 cheaper than Delhi
For buyers considering an expensive diesel Creta, registration tax can have a meaningful effect on the total purchase cost.
What Does the On-Road Price Include?
A normal on-road quotation may include the following components:
Ex-showroom price
This includes the factory price, GST and dealer margin. It does not include registration, insurance or optional accessories.
Road tax and registration
Road tax is the largest addition after the ex-showroom price. It is collected at the time of registration and varies by state, fuel type and vehicle value.
Smaller registration expenses may include the registration certificate, smart card and high-security registration plate.
Insurance
A new private car must have at least three years of third-party insurance. Dealers usually quote a bundled policy that combines three years of third-party cover with one year of own-damage cover.
The premium depends on factors such as:
- Exact variant and insured declared value
- Location of registration
- Insurance provider
- Selected add-ons
- Deductibles and discounts
This is why two dealers in the same city may provide different on-road quotations.
TCS
Tax collected at source, or TCS, applies at 1% when the sale value of a motor vehicle exceeds ₹10 lakh. Since all Creta variants are priced above this point, buyers should check whether TCS has been included in the quotation.
The amount can be claimed as credit while filing an income-tax return, subject to the applicable tax rules.
FASTag
A FASTag is required for electronic toll payments. Dealers may include the issuance fee and an initial wallet balance in the final quotation.
Optional items
A quotation may also include:
- Accessory package
- Extended warranty
- Service package
- Roadside assistance
- Insurance add-ons
- Paint or interior protection
These items should be listed separately. Buyers are not required to purchase a dealer’s accessory package simply because it appears in the quotation.
Can a Delhi Resident Register a Creta in Gurugram?
Buying the car from a Gurugram dealership does not automatically make you eligible for Haryana registration. The registration location depends on the owner’s residential address or place of business and the documents accepted by the registering authority.
To obtain a Haryana number, you will generally need valid proof of residence or business within the state. The exact list of acceptable documents should be confirmed with the dealer and the relevant RTO before booking.
Using someone else’s address only to obtain cheaper registration can lead to problems with address verification, insurance claims, notices and future RC-related work.
If you are eligible for BH-series registration through your employment, that is a separate option with its own eligibility conditions and tax system.
Does an HR or UP Number Avoid the Delhi Diesel Age Limit?
No. Registering a Creta in Haryana or Uttar Pradesh does not give it an exemption from age-based vehicle restrictions enforced in Delhi-NCR.
Diesel vehicles older than 10 years and petrol vehicles older than 15 years can face restrictions under applicable NGT, Supreme Court and local enforcement directions. Buyers planning to keep their Creta for a long period should consider this when choosing between petrol and diesel.
The lower registration cost of a diesel Creta in Gurugram does not change its permitted age under these rules.
How to Get a Better Creta On-Road Deal
The registration tax itself is fixed, but there are other areas where you may be able to reduce the final cost.
Compare insurance on equal terms
Ask the dealer for a detailed insurance breakup and compare it with quotations from other insurers. Check the insured declared value, deductibles and add-ons rather than comparing only the final premium.
Remove unwanted accessories
Request a quotation without accessory packs, coating treatments and other optional products. You can add the items you genuinely need later.
Ask for a complete written breakup
The quotation should clearly show:
- Ex-showroom price
- Road tax
- Registration fees
- Insurance premium
- TCS
- FASTag
- Accessories
- Extended warranty
- Any other charge
Avoid relying only on a rounded “on-road price” given verbally.
Compare multiple dealerships
A car’s road tax will not change between dealerships in the same city, but discounts, insurance premiums, exchange bonuses and stock availability can differ.
Which City Is the Cheapest for a Hyundai Creta?
Gurugram generally has the lowest estimated on-road price among Delhi, Gurugram and Noida. Its 8% road-tax rate gives it an advantage over the 10-11% charged on Creta petrol models in Delhi and Noida.
The saving becomes greater for diesel models because Delhi charges a higher 12.5% road-tax rate. On an expensive variant such as the Creta King Diesel AT, Gurugram registration may cost around ₹90,000 less than Delhi registration.
However, you cannot select an RTO only on the basis of price. The car must be registered using a valid address or business documents accepted by the relevant authority. Buyers should therefore compare the applicable cost in the city where they are legally eligible to register the vehicle.
