Maruti Suzuki September 2026 sales

Maruti Suzuki India sold 2,36,013 vehicles in September 2026, up 24.4% from 1,89,665 units in September 2025. The company recorded strong growth in domestic passenger vehicle sales, while exports also increased during the month.

Total sales included 1,85,252 units of domestic sales including the Super Carry light commercial vehicle, 6,542 units sold to other OEMs and 44,219 exports.

SUVs Drive Maruti Suzuki’s Growth

Utility vehicle sales were the biggest highlight of the month. Maruti Suzuki sold 78,911 utility vehicles in September 2026, compared with 48,695 units in September 2025. This represents a 62.1% increase.

The utility vehicle category includes models such as the Brezza, Ertiga, e Vitara, Fronx, Grand Vitara, Invicto, Jimny, Victoris and XL6.

The company sold 1,81,838 passenger vehicles in the domestic market, up from 1,32,820 units a year earlier. Utility vehicles accounted for a significant part of that increase.

Passenger Car Sales Also Grow

Sales of Maruti Suzuki’s mini, compact and mid-size cars increased 24% to 91,887 units from 74,090 units in September 2025.

The segment includes models such as the Alto, Baleno, Celerio, Ciaz, Dzire, Ignis, S-Presso, Swift and WagonR.

Eeco sales also increased 10% to 11,040 units, compared with 10,035 units a year earlier.

Exports Rise 5%

Maruti Suzuki exported 44,219 vehicles in September 2026, up 4.8% from 42,204 units in September 2025.

Sales to other OEMs, however, fell 44.3% to 6,542 units from 11,750 units a year earlier.

April-September Sales Also Show Strong Growth

Maruti Suzuki’s total sales during April-September 2026 stood at 13,79,378 units, up 27.9% from 10,78,735 units in the same period last year.

Domestic passenger vehicle sales increased 35.8% to 10,80,240 units, while utility vehicle sales rose 43.6% to 4,55,692 units.

Exports during the first six months of FY2026-27 stood at 2,32,855 units, up 12.2% year-on-year.

September’s numbers show that utility vehicles continue to be an important growth driver for Maruti Suzuki, with the segment’s 62.1% monthly increase significantly ahead of the growth recorded by its passenger car and van segments.
